Financial journalist in the making.
CV
In A Snapshot
My essay, 'Fishing for Mackerel', was shortlisted in the top 10 entries to the Financial Times / Bodley Head Essay Prize 2020. I've written for Cambridge's most-read student newspaper, Varsity, and received funding for an investigative project in Rwanda. I've edited and copy-edited for small publications.
I have a strong background in law from the mini-pupillages I've had, and am currently being trained as a news reporter by Law Business Research, where I'll be covering all things banking.
I'm also a dab hand at using Python to sort data and using Adobe software to edit videos and make graphics - so I'm well-poised for the new new journalism.
Interests
I enjoy travelling, like every other 20-something, and am a decent amateur skateboarder. I also carry a Talmud around with me wherever I go to brush up on my Talmudic scholarship.
I keep my Russian vocabulary up to scratch to make my Moscow-born father happy, and try to play the piano often enough to put the enormously expensive piano lessons to use.
